Many people, groups, institutions, and agencies are involved in the Global Cryosphere Watch. It takes every one of them to keep GCW going. The individuals devoting time to the working groups and teams are the most actively involved. The GCW Steering Group provides valuable guidance. Our sponsors and partners are much appreciated. And, of course, GCW wouldn't exist without the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
GCW would also like to thank some people who have contributed in important ways to GCW's implementation, but who might not appear elsewhere on these web pages. In particular:
- Miroslav Ondráš, former Chief of the Observing Systems Division at WMO, now retired. Miro was tireless in supporting GCW from the beginning through 2015.
- Clément Hutin, an intern at WMO in 2015-2016, who contributed to the further development of the glossary database and provided support to CryoNet.
- Mike Key, who began the development of the glossary database, and contributed to assessments and other aspects of the GCW website.
- Bill Bellon, who has been a tremendous help in the implementation of the GCW website.
