Haxilegen Galcier No. 51 station Primary CryoNet Station Information
Haxilegen Galcier No. 51 station is located at the eastern Tianshan.It is regarded as the good reference glacier to study the north part of Tianshan and the surrounding glaciers of Lake Ebinur. The observation of this glacier began in 1998, which involved the observation of glacier mass balance, terminal change, movement speed, the temperature of glaciers, the thickness of glaciers, the meteorological phenomena of glacial zone, the aerosol in glacial zone and physical and chemical processes of snow ice and much shallow ice-core was drilled down.
