Glaciar Conejeras Primary CryoNet Station Information
The "Conejeras" glacier (0.14Km2) has a minimum elevation of 4715 m. asl and maximum of 4935 m.asl it´s located at Santa Isabel volcano Northwest's side. Conejeras glacier mass balance has been calculated monthly by direct method calculation since 2006 (field measurements using stakes). The mass balance calculations has been also complemented with meteorological and hydrological stations until 2700 m. asl.
Since 2006, Conejeras Glacier shows a negative mass balance with a peak during the ENSO in 2009-2010 and 2015-2016. The acumulative mass balance 2006-2016 is -35 m w.e.
